Monday, 28 January 2019 was fixed for the Governorship Election
Chief Edwin Clark, the leader of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF, has given a strong warning to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, against rigging the 2019 elections.
He urged Nigerians not to accept any manipulation or rigging of the results of the 2019 elections by INEC and the APC lead government.
Clark said that Nigerians will not take it likely and would react vehemently to any false result from any party.
He was speaking to the Christian Campaigners of Nigeria, CCN at his Abuja resident in Asokoro. He told them that Nigerians need a new President and to make that happen there should be no rigging of elections.
Clark said: “If we cannot speak now, then we should keep quiet forever. This country needs a new President. Come out and cast your vote.
“Anybody who rigs the next election is rigging Nigeria out of existence. We want free, fair and credible elections.
“This country belongs to all of us. Nigerians must be allowed to choose their leaders in a free atmosphere. We must resist any attempt to rig the 2019 elections.”
