94-year-old Robert Mugabe, Zimbabwe’s past leader is critically ill and he is not able to walk. He was admitted to a Singapore medical hospital according to reports.
The current Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa told journalists that Robert Mugabe is not able to walk as he is very old and added to that he is now critically ill.
President Mnangagwa told ZANU-PF the ruling party and its supporters at a rally that for over two months now Mugabe has been receiving treatment in Singapore.
He said: “Mugabe is now old. Of course, he now is unable to walk but whatever he asks for we will provide.
“We are looking after him. He is the founding father of the nation of Zimbabwe. He is our founding father of free Zimbabwe.
“He should have been back on October 25 but his health was not yet good.”
“But yesterday we got a message that he thinks he is getting better. He will come back on 30 November.”
Before he was removed from power Mr Mugabe was the world’s oldest head of state, He was head of his country for 37 years.
Mr Mugabe accused the current President of planning the military coup that removed him as President and he accepted it in good faith so as to avoid bloodshed.
