A catastrophic hailstorm in Sydney, Australia, has hit the city
Another attack on Rotimi Amaechi as another of an audio clip of the minister of transportation who is also the Director-General of President Muhammadu Buhari’s campaign organisation has leaked with the embattled Minister saying Lagos is a ‘glorified village’.
The aide to the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Phrank Shaibu, released the audio on SoundCloud
According to the audio clip, Amaechi described Lagos as a state with little infrastructure. He also said that the state lacks good water and good roads that is why there is a high level of traffic jam in the state.
Amaechi’s statement indicted all who has ruled the state since 1999 which include National Leader of the APC and the co-chair of the President Buhari’s Campaign Council, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and also a fellow minister and former Governor. Tinubu ruled Lagos since 1999 and have held on to it until now using various political party like the AD, AC, and CAN and now the APC.
Amaechi said: “I live in Abuja, tell me where else we have infrastructures. Lagos is a glorified village. The only difference between Lagos and other cities is the fact that business is in Lagos, everybody is there doing business, so you can at least have food,” he said in the New audio clip.
“If not, tell me what else you have in Lagos? 1,000 plus megawatts. That’s all. That’s what you have. What else do you have? No water, there are no roads. The reason why you meet traffic jams in Lagos is that there are no roads.”
